Thy Kingdom Come

Hello and welcome to our “Thy Kingdom Come” prayer and reflective page

As has become our custom here at St Mary’s Watford in these 11 days between Ascension Day and Pentecost, we invite you to join us in the ‘Thy Kingdom Come’ initiative.  This global prayer movement, which was begun in 2016 by the Archbishops of Canterbury and York to the Church of England, invites Christians from around the world to pray for more people to come to know Jesus.  In the next 11 days it calls us to reflect on those words from the Lord’s prayer “Thy Kingdome Come” on earth as it is in heaven - and what this really means.

It challenges us to:

·        Deepen our own relationship with Jesus Christ

·        To choose 5 friends or family for whom we will pray daily to come to faith in Jesus

·        To pray for the empowerment of the Spirit that we would be effective in our witness – for on our own we can do nothing.

To support you in your prayer walk, we offer the prayer and reflective resources and activities below.

We pray that God uses the next 11 days to drawer near to you and bless you!
